To the burn pile again

I tried not to be a martyr about having to re-sort the laundry.... and I failed. But once it was done, and I colored a picture and watched an episode of Grey's Anatomy, I felt much better. I managed to convince Goldfish to let me disassemble some of the HUGE train track in his room by telling him that he'd have more room for his cars to race.

This weekend was spent on just getting the house back in order, catching up on laundry, and cleaning the boy's room. I can not figure out how to say up on the laundry. Living in an apartment, I can not seem to find a way to do laundry everyday, unless I wake up at 5 am. Maybe I am making excuses, but if I do get up at 5 am.... I am too exhausted to get up on the weekends. I've tried doing my laundry after work but then it's time to get dinner going. Once I get the whiny Kids eating, and the family sitting down to dinner I'm too distracted to do it. And getting the laundry started takes a while... and if I start after dinner, then it finishes up waaaaay too late! Any suggestions out there? I can't wait for that new apartment with a washer and dryer that I don't have to pay outrageously for.

Today was spent stressing over the massive destruction done by the flood of Christmas '07. Insurance company has decided that we are asking extravagantly for our replacements, and that we should have not thrown anything out that we want to replace. Oh and our flood should not have been so encompassing. Some how, when they were told that there was 6 inches of sewage filled water in our WHOLE apartment, they took that to mean, there was a little bit of water in a small area of our apartment. hmm, how does that work? So once they got that list that was OVER 200 items long, and $20,000 worth of damage. But if they never bothered to show up, what were we supposed to do? Keep sewage infested items around for my children to get sick?

SO now they want proof that things got destroyed... by the flood, by maintenance, ect. Why should we have to provide it when they never sent any one out to do their end of the job. So the fight continues. aaagh!
